Capacity Building Training Program Supported by The Max India Foundation

From June 24-29, 2024, our teachers and project leaders participated in a dynamic series of training sessions! 

Expert trainers led sessions on various topics, including pedagogy for foundational literacy and numeracy, Mathematics, English, Hindi, and Computer skills. 

We also organized awareness sessions on Child Rights, effective Classroom Management, and Domestic Violence.

Additional sessions covered POSH training, community engagement, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation, leaving participants empowered and equipped for impactful teaching.

We congratulate both our partner schools on the children's achievements!

The Doon Defence Academy in Dehradun celebrated the outstanding achievements of two exceptional students from our shelter home, Deepika Shah and Anisha, both studying at GGIC Rajpur Road. 

Deepika earned an impressive 85%, securing the first position and receiving a cash prize of Rs. 11,000. Anisha followed closely with 84.2%, securing the second position and a cash award of Rs. 5,100. 

Additionally, Shailly, who achieved the third position in class 12 with 85%, was awarded a cash prize of Rs. 3,100. 

Congratulations to them and the entire school community for this remarkable achievement.

Annemai, a Lufthansa flight attendant, volunteered with Aasraa from January 14th to January 29th, 2024. 

During her time with us, Annemai conducted soft skills classes at our Skillability center and organized dance sessions with the children at our Girls Shelter Home. 

She also visited the Bindal Slum and the New Haven Wings of Doon (after-school tutorials), both suApported by Help Alliance (Lufthansa).
