Sage is wearing the 1. Equiband system while standing on 2. a stability mat and 3. doing ab crunches. Three different events that lead to a particular 'cause and effect.' Increased proprioception! and data for her brain!!
"Cause and Effect"
'Cause and effect' is a relationship between events or things, where one is the result of the other or others.
This is a combination of action and reaction. It is a relationship in which one event (the cause) makes another event happen (the effect).
To determine the cause of something, ask WHY it happened.
To determine the effect of a cause, ask WHAT happened.
'Because' is used to introduce a word or phrase that stands for a clause expressing an explanation or reason.
Using the 'because' line of thought, we can often begin to figure out the cause and the effect, the 'why' and 'what'. Or the combination of action and reaction.
I prefer to think of the "cause and effect" in training horses and their humans, to be a combination of action and response.
My goal is to have my horses respond to my requests, not feel they need to react or escape. This strengthens the relationship and connection.
Notice the 'cause and effect' events happening during interactions with your horse and human relationships.
Observe and change what you can to help the effect become a response and not a reaction!!

For me, it's impossible to offer my horses anything but autonomy, choice and voice.
If I create good questions, and accept their mind and body answers, and responses, our relationship strengthens and our partnership grows.
I can help you create the liberty relationship of your dreams.
