Impact Report Illustrates Strong Progress Across Programs

The Singleton Foundation 2023 Impact Report has been published, showcasing significant program growth and notable achievements. The report highlights impact in the areas of entrepreneurship and improving financial competence as a result of our key initiatives: Million Stories, Venture Valley, Slyngshot, Groove and the CEO Prize. Since the foundation’s inception, we’ve worked hard to create change in our user’s financial health. 

In 2023, our continued growth and programs:

• Inspired audiences with over 225 Million views for Million Stories 

• Engaged students in entrepreneurship with 80% of college students believing that Venture Valley is an effective way of teaching business and entrepreneurship

• Supported 4,500 students in launching new business ideas like Kayla, a student in her senior year. Since creating her idea on Slyngshot, Kayla has won awards, expanded her product line, and raised more than $50,000 to grow the business after graduation

Slyngshot Hosts AI Literacy Summit

Slyngshot and our friends aiEDU.org co-hosted a private summit to dream up the future of AI in Education. We were joined by leaders in this space including OpenAI, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, The Philanthropic Collaborative for Education, InnovateEDU, and the National School Board Association among others. The summit reminded us  that even the promise of AI comes down to the hard work of people with big hearts and a strong vision.

Venture Valley Research Study Shows Positive Entrepreneurial Impact

Launched two years ago, Venture Valley takes players on the highs and lows of being an entrepreneur and business owner in a risk-free environment. Working with renowned Dubit research and leading educators, a recent research survey found the Venture Valley game greatly enhanced students' motivation and skills in business, financial literacy and entrepreneurship. 
Students nationwide reported that playing the free award-winning video game, Venture Valley, has positively affected their desire to become entrepreneurs.
