Christmas gifts and advent

Such an exciting time of the year

I wanted to say a massive thank you to everybody who supported me in my first couple weeks of opening. It has been an amazing time and I have loved packing every single one of your orders. I still have some gold, frankincense and myrrh soaps, beeswax Christmas decorations and soapy gift boxes available which would all make perfect gifts and stocking fillers. And if you want to send a parcel to a loved one who you might not be able to see this year, I offer free gift-wrapping and a handwritten note just let me know in the checkout notes.

Advent Ideas

We all know the chocolate advent calendar reigns king and we have three this year but for the first time we are also trying something new, and activity advent. You could do this with a fabric sheet with pockets or even just lots of envelops pegged on some string. I have have included a mix of activities like baking cookies to take round to a neighbour, making paper stars, rolling beeswax candles for the advent wreath plus some cocktail ideas for the adults in the house.

December is also the time for the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. We are planning on celebrating this by taking a evening walk in the dark and seeing all the beautiful lights around the village.

Finally with us all spending more time at home this year I am looking forward to having a few Christmas movie nights in, complete with popcorn, mince pies and mulled wine.

New Product- Natural Hand Sanitizer

I have some exciting news- I am in the process of developing my next product. I don't know about you but my hands have not been enjoying the constant and varied hand sanitizer the entrance of every shop, so I decided to make my own. My version contains 70% alcohol to kill 99.9% of germs but it also has skin loving witch hazel, vegetable glycerine, essential oils and calendula extract to combat the drying effects of the alcohol and leave a pleasant fragrance.

It will be available in two scents-  meadow grass is fresh and grounded with a blend of precious vetiver, lemongrass and elemi. Whilst cottage garden is a riot of florals with a blend of geranium, lavender and a hint of patchouli.

I'm hoping to have it available to buy in the next few weeks.

I hope you have a wonderful and magic filled December and thank you for reading.

Warm regards,

Grace x
