Dear Panida Patrons, Volunteers, and Friends,
As much as we all want to get 2020 behind us, we canβt say goodbye to it without saying a huge thank you to our community. We have all had a better opportunity to appreciate the arts since we have been out less and at home more. The vision we gained during this challenging time gave us a greater appreciation for the many things we found we missed. And we missed you most of all. We missed being able to gather and enjoy concerts, movies, and more, and it showed us just how much we valued the community experience. We missed how the arts have a way of lifting our spirits, helping us see things through a global lens, and connecting our commonalities. Our beautiful Panida Theater has been mostly quiet except for a few scattered events. The smell of popcorn and the activity in the lobby has been missed. We miss the laughter, the camaraderie, and the connection. We miss You! We watched our community quarantine and shut down for the good of public health in our region and beyond. Just as local businesses have had to reinvent their service and delivery options to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, we too have worked to adapt our programming to meet community needs and find ways to continue to foster creativity and enrichment for all ages. At the theater we used our down time to explore ways of serving you better until we can see you all again. We installed a new ticketing and loyalty card software program! Our new loyalty program rewards the time you spend at the Panida. It also helps us track inventory, keep track of donations, and has a scheduling function needed for event management. We have had a few events since its installation so we are getting the program up to speed for when we can fully function again. For the safety of those who did choose to attend Panida activities this year, we made some protective adjustments to the concessions area and put-up safety shields. We created a pathway to come in/out and lowered our number of patrons per event. All we do happens because of you and for you. You, as Panida Theater supporters, volunteers, and donors, are our champions, our collaborators, and the guardians of the arts in our region. It is your continued involvement and investment that fuels Panida programs and activities, past, present, and future. If your yearend involves lending support to your favorite nonprofits, we would welcome the help during this difficult time when our income is so severely limited. Any donation amount is welcomed, and all gifts make an impact. The new tax deduction amounts for individuals certainly makes it a benefit for both. We appreciate your support and very much look forward to the day we can gather again with our great patrons. During this unprecedented time, more than ever before, we need creativity. We look forward to once again being able to collaborate with local organizations and help community members flex their imaginations to foster further creativity. Tomorrow's innovators need more arts inspiration and education today. The Panida remains the heart of our community and you are essential to keeping it beating. To all who have donated previously this year, we offer our most sincere thanks. Your contributions have been a significant part in keeping our theater alive during these difficult times.
We wish you and yours all a healthy and prosperous New Year and warmest regards until we can all meet again,
