I have another dose of design tips and inspiration for you 🙌
Before we dive in, I have a quick question.
Do you have any requests or suggestions on what I should include in future issues? Just reply to this email, I read every reply.
This week’s design lesson
This is a lesson from the Tiny Design Lessons ebook.
Build trust in every interaction
Users are placing an ever greater importance on how honest, transparent and authentic a product or brand is. There are no quick or big fixes to this, as trust is earned. Therefore you need to build it into an experience at a micro level.
Take a user-centred approach by adding some humour or humanity in key places.
Inconsistency makes people wary. Apply the elements of your brand consistently across everything.
Be transparent by making it easy to access key information, such as security, pricing and privacy.
Keep language simple at action points by removing jargon and ambiguity.
This is a really simple breakdown of what all design is. What you’re doing is taking a format (e.g a landing page), some content (words, images etc.) and combining them so that they communicate in the best way possible.
I hope you’re finding these emails useful. Please let me know at @markbowley on twitter if you do!
Until next week,
