The MLTAV is very grateful for all the work our Member Services Manager, Helenmary Burnside has contributed to the association over the last 12 months.
Unfortunately due to health reasons, Helenmary has needed to resign so the MLTAV is now seeking applicants for the Member Services Manager position. The successful applicant would be engaged as an independent contractor of the MLTAV at the rate of $50/hr (+GST if applicable) for approximately 10hrs/week.
Responsibilities would include:
* Communication with members
* Membership database management
* Professional learning registration management
* Organisational management

Would you like to present a workshop at the MLTAV Conference?

The title of this year's conference is 
Reconnecting and reimagining: The future of languages education.

Workshops on any topic in the broad spectrum of Languages education are welcome. All workshop sessions will be 50 minutes and content should be relevant to teachers of all languages.

MLTAV values the willingness of presenters to share their expertise and to prepare and present at the conference.

Presenters whose workshop proposals are included in the program will be able to attend the conference at no cost.

The conference will be held on Friday 2 December at Novotel on Collins - Collins St, Melbourne.

Workshop proposals are due by COB Friday 16th September.

The MLTAV continues to recognise significant contributions to the field of languages education through two awards:
Honorary Life Membership and the Certificate of Merit.  

Members are encouraged to read more about these awards on the MLTAV website and to consider submitting an online nomination. 

This year, the awards will be presented at MLTAV's 75th Anniversary Dinner to be held on 2 December at Novotel on Collins. 
2022 Award nominations must be submitted by 1 November.

Program Manager, VCAA Languages Unit

Applications for the above 12-month fixed term appointment position are open until  midnight 2 September 2022.

The purpose of this role is to provide high level expertise and professional leadership within the Languages Unit of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. The Program Manager works as a member of the small team which manages the curriculum and assessment of the VCE Languages studies and supports teachers of Languages to implement the Victorian Curriculum F-10.

Applications are now open for the 2023 exam setting process

Applications for VCE Examination Development panels for the 2023 Victorian end of year examinations and the 2024 VCE Northern Hemisphere examinations are now open on the VCAA’s Sessional Staff Management System (SSMS) website. 

Please be aware that you are required to lodge an application each year if you wish to be considered for these positions. Also, please apply for multiple roles if you are indeed willing to undertake different roles. You can only be appointed for a role for which you have lodged an application.

The applications are scheduled to close on Sunday 4 September 2022.
