Musical Pairs - 7.30-9pm
Come & sing some of the best-loved duets from popular music history. From Frank & Nancy to Ella & Satchmo, from Cash & Ronstadt to Elton & Kiki.
North Sydney Community Centre’s choir continues this term in the much-loved format of part joyous singalong, part choir in harmony. It’s easy, so everyone can join in. If you want the challenge, there are harmonies & solos as possibilities.

Tales from the High Stool - 9pm
Pádraig Ó Cuinn hosts this program on 2RRR with interviews with people involved in local & global music. Guests are invited into a virtual 'pub' to sit on 'The High Stool', & discuss music, musical influences, & whatever they like, with their virtual 'bar-person'.
Pádraig's guest this week is João “Jaye” Almeida - a traditional piper and flute player from Lisbon, Portugal. Born in 1984, Jaye started his musical training in 2000 learning classical guitar, electric guitar and bass guitar. Between 2007 and 2009 Jaye co-founded and ran an experimental arts and music collective in Lisbon, organising music festivals and events. In 2009 joined the Portuguese Bagpipe Society studying traditional Portuguese piping. In 2011 migrated to Sydney, Australia, and there joined the Sydney Slow Session and various other Irish sessions. Between 2016 and 2017 hosted the Gaelic Club trad session, and was a founding member of Sydney bands Celtic Tones, The Last Aurochs, and Aljamía. Currently Jaye co-hosts a traditional Irish music session every Sunday at the Doss House with co-founder Stephen Powell.

Australian Spectrum Show - 9pm
Ross M Fear hosts this show on Alive 90.5 FM, presented by every Tuesday night.
His studio guest this week will be Chris O featuring her new songs & album 'Twisted Roots & Twisted Highways' as part of her current national tour. Chris O was Blues Artiste Of the Year 2015-16 and represented the Sydney Blues Society at the 2016 International Blues Challenge, Memphis, USA, performed at the famous Orpheum Theatre Memphis and featured in a number of showcases. Her previous albums “Twisted Roots & Twisted Highways” , “Wailin’ & Raggin’ The Blues” (won Best Acoustic Blues Album of the Year 2016) and “Peckman’s Plateau” achieved international radio airplay and received international critical acclaim.

Chasing the Moon - 8pm
Hot Club Gypsy Jazz, Swing & Latin Rhythms!
Six-piece Sydney band, Chasing the Moon, plays Hot Club Gypsy Jazz, as created by Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli in the 1930s. The band plays with energy and passion, reminiscent of the great jazz of days gone by. There's a freshness in the way different styles are combined, a mix of hot club with blues, a touch of folk, Latin rhythms, plus lashings of swing and modern elements too.
