$10,000 Research Grant

Applications are due August 1, 2020

The Academy is pleased to announce the return of the $10,000 Research Grant. Applications will be accepted now through August 1, 2020. Results will be announced in mid-October 2020 and funds will be disbursed in 2021. The Academy would like to recognize Intimate Rose for their generous sponsorship of the 2021 Research Grant to support physical therapy research. The mission at Intimate Rose is to advance pelvic health worldwide. Intimate Rose combines pelvic health devices with detailed educational materials for patients and clinicians. Intimate Rose is committed to furthering evidence-based practice by funding the Academy of Pelvic Health’s research grant, thereby expanding clinician knowledge for optimal patient outcomes.

CSM 2021 Education Session Proposal Due Date Extended

The call for CSM 2021 education sessions proposals (extended submission deadline: April 1, 2020) and poster and platform abstracts (submission deadline: July 13) is now open. Learn more.

The new regulatory waivers will allow PTs, OTs, and SLPs to engage in patient-initiated "e-visits" for purposes of assessment and management services. Prior to this change CMS did not recognize PTs among the health care professionals allowed to bill codes associated with the visits. Read post.
