To Hang a Pirate - Colonial Capitol - Saturday, September 24 at 7:30 pm & 9 pm

Also at that same time, 15 members of his crew were captured and brought to the Public Gaol in Williamsburg. They were tried for piracy at the Capitol by Virginia Governor Alexander Spotswood in early 1719 in Williamsburg. This is a recreation of the actual trial of Israel Hands, a member of Blackbeard's crew. You will hear the evidence, you can ask questions during the trial and you will vote. How would you sentence a pirate? Here is the link: More Info
