On 18 August, we invite you to an opening of a Korean artist Cho Gi-Seok's spectacular new exhibition.
South Korea's current most prominent fashion photographer, Cho Gi-Seok is constantly searching for beauty in his imaginative work. His photographs are characterised by a strong composition, where everything from light and colour to composition and clothing is thought through in detail. At the same time, he uses analogue technology and is fascinated by the way in which film sometimes turns out to be surprising. In his work, he often returns to a single word: 'coexistence'. In his eyes, everything that surrounds us - every flower, living thing, place and digital thing - is influenced by everything else around us, and this is the kind of interconnectedness that life is made of - humanity, nature and even machines are meant to coexist.
For the opening of the exhibition, beloved Dutch florist Peter Boeijkens will create a powerful floral installation that will be on display for up to a week after the opening. Peter introduces his installation like this: "In this exhibition, I get to reveal more of my artistic side - expect the unexpected!"
