Dear ,
It's always thrilling when a new book is released. Elephant Creek has been a labour of love. I adored Toby (Noah) in Kendwa's Secret, particularly the way he loved his daughter Hope, despite his wife rejecting the gorgeous child.
He's a steadfast guy but understandably wary of women. When Ali's feisty daughter Emma bounds into his life things will change dramatically. I don't make it easy for them to find a happy ever after.
Throw a few obstacles in their way and it only seems to add to the sizzle between them. Seriously, I could not help but write that stuff and I hope you'll be feeling delicious as you read those scenes (wink, wink).
But of course, as I do, I've included a few animals. An old Staffy with a tumour, a dog called Cheetah and a circus elephant living out its days in the Currumbin Valley.
Including the seaside town that I spent 33 years of my life in was a wonderful homage to a beautiful place with fond memories. Some may not remember the circus elephant but most will know the places and scenes I have set. I hope it makes you feel like you're a part of the story. Emma might live around the corner from you. If you're in the valley, maybe your house is near Noah's. See what great imaginations readers have!
So, I promised a competition last newsletter. The first person to buy five or more books (sorry, Mum this can't include you), be they for yourself, family and friends it doesn't matter, but purchase five and you'll receive the whole book set, special edition coffee mug, bookmarks and other treats.
Please note Amazon take a couple of days to upload the paperbacks. Ebooks are available now.
Yours truly in love-stories, happiness and writing,
Donna
P.S. There will be more news about book launches and other events soon.
