Flapjackery to open permanent shop on Pulteney Bridge, Bath
Flapjackery is to open a permanent shop on Bath’s Pulteney Bridge, following a successful period operating as a pop-up at the location. Now in its 10th year, the Devon-based bakery has grown into an established national brand, with shops across the South West and a strong presence at food festivals and events.
Pulteney Bridge provides a prominent setting for the business. Situated in one of Bath’s most visited and recognisable locations, the shop welcomes both local customers and international visitors, many encountering traditional flapjacks for the first time. The shop also benefits from its proximity to Bath Rugby, attracting regular matchday footfall.
The new shop is colourful, welcoming and packed with Flapjackery’s full range. Flapjackery's co-founder Carol Myott said: “Pulteney Bridge brings together a wide mix of customers from across the UK and overseas. Many are new to flapjacks, so we take the time to introduce them properly. It is always encouraging to see people return shortly afterwards to take more home with them.”
To mark the opening, Flapjackery is offering an Easter promotion. Customers who purchase an Easter box containing four or more E flapjacks will receive a complimentary bag of Easter tiffin. The offer is available in store during the first week of opening, while stocks last.
Flapjackery Bath at Pulteney Bridge will open on Saturday 28 March at 9am. It is located at 8 Pulteney Bridge, Bath, BA2 4AX

Recipes
Hot Smoked Salmon Salad with beetroot, asparagus and soft-boiled eggs
This recipe is the perfect gateway to salad season, combining the pick of the seasonal crop (beetroot; asparagus) with creamy soft-boiled eggs and flakes of luxurious, buttery hot smoked salmon.
You can of course substitute the raw beetroot with the vacuum-packed or jarred variety, but roasting the new season’s crop results in a different experience altogether: rich, sweet and earthy with a smooth, soft texture.

Now Voyager
Now Voyager is an ambitious, intellectually-inclined bi-monthly magazine launched simultaneously in the US and the UK this month. While it’s edited primarily in New York it aims to offer long-form writing and reporting about what is going on all around the world. Nominally a travel magazine, Now Voyager doesn’t want to be pigeonholed, locating its specific geography ‘somewhere between a foreign desk briefing, a literary review, and a cultural notebook.’ It has dedicated sections for photography, art, music, food and humour, all curated and calibrated in the belief that there is an audience for ‘foreign reporting that does not condescend, for cultural criticism that takes big ideas seriously, and for a publication that treats its readers as capable of holding multiple ideas in their heads at once’.

Last chance to see Under The Same Sky at Sandra Higgins Art Gallery, until 28 March
The Wilderness Art Collective and Sandra Higgins Art presents Under the Same Sky, the first of three exhibitions taking place across 2026 under a shared and expansive theme. This exhibition reflects on the idea that all life exists beneath the same sky, a unifying presence that connects us across place, culture and experience. Artists have responded freely to the title, resulting in a rich and varied exhibition rooted in the natural world. Through painting, drawing and mixed media, the works on display explore changing horizons, fleeting light, environmental awareness, and the quiet continuity that binds all living things.

Football icon, Peter Crouch, visits Bath Football Club to Tackle Nutrition Gap in Grassroots Football
Crouch surprised players and volunteers at Larkhall Athletic Youth Football Club in Bath as part of a nationwide campaign to bring elite-level nutrition into grassroots football and encourage players to Eat Well and Play Well.
One in three grassroots football coaches (31%) say they would welcome training to offer nutritional advice to their players, with many lacking the confidence to do so, according to new research.
Crouch laced up his boots and joined a training session before hosting a Q&A, where young grassroots players quizzed the former England footballer on the standout moments from his playing career. Peter said: “I scored a bicycle kick, in the Champions League (in Europe) for Liverpool, it was one of my favourites.”
Crouch then turned his attention to the club’s ‘snack-shack’ to show how simple nutrition can support young players. Swapping his boots for a blender, he helped prepare a high-protein smoothie designed to aid post-match recovery.

Reid captains for trip to Sale Sharks, 29 March
The Gallagher PREM enters Round 12 this weekend, with Bath Rugby making the trip to the CorpAcq Stadium to face Sale Sharks. Miles Reid will lead the Blue, Black and White to Salford, looking to continue Bath’s momentum after last week’s home victory.
Named in the front row, Scott Kirk and Vilikesa Sela will start, sandwiched by Dan Frost at hooker. Will Jeanes partners a returning Ross Molony in the second row to complete the tight five. Captaining from Number 8, Reid is joined in the back row by Ted Hill and Ethan Staddon. Tom Carr-Smith commands proceedings from scrum-half, linking up with Santi Carreras as this week’s half-back pairing. Centres Cameron Redpath and Louie Hennessey will combine in the midfield.
Will Muir and Joe Cokanasiga rekindle their familiar combination on the wings, while Tom de Glanville occupies the space at full back. Kepueli Tuipulotu, Beno Obano and Thomas du Toit will make their impact from the bench. Charlie Ewels, Ewan Richards and Alfie Barbeary complete the replacement forwards. Filling the bench, Bernard van der Linde and Chris Harris provide their cover among the backs.
The game kicks off at the CorpAcq Stadium on Sunday 29 March at 15:00.
