November News & Goodies

Hi Romance Lovers,

In the US, we celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday. It's an occasion to gather with friends and family, indulge in delicious food and drink, and marks the start of holiday bargains! For those who celebrated, I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. For those who are shopping, I hope you score lots of deals and don't have to deal with crabby shoppers/store clerks!

If you prefer to shop from the comfort of your home, be sure to check out the Historical Romance Black Friday 99¢ Sale, which includes The Bookseller and the Earl!

The Twinadoes spent a few days with us when their parents took a trip to Colorado to visit friends. It was a wonderful time, but the day their parents came home, I took three naps. I love the little guys but boy, do they wear me out! They also got to go fishing for the first time with their other grandparents. They loved it!

I hope you enjoy the upcoming holidays and stay warm!

Must she pay for the sins of her mother?

Miss Charlotte Danvers has just received a life-altering shock. After spending most of her life in France in an elite school for girls, first as a student, and then as a teacher, she decides to return to London and take up residence with her mother.

When she arrives at her mother's townhouse in London, she is stunned to discover that the woman who raised her is the well-known courtesan, Mrs. Danforth.

After an angry and tearful confrontation with her mother, Charlotte leaves London and makes her home in Bath. All goes well until she meets Mr. Carter Westbrooke, close friend and business partner of Charlotte's best friend's husband, Lord Berkshire.

After only a few weeks, Mr. Westbrooke declares his intentions to Charlotte to make her his wife. She can be no gentleman's wife but cannot bring herself to tell him why. Must she run again?

He’s eccentric and society-shy…
There’s no polite way to describe Ansley, Earl of Scarborough’s obsession with schedules and inflexible routines. Unfortunately, he’s also in need of a wife, which forces him squarely in the midst of the society he can scarcely function within. If only he dared to ignore the haut ton’s censure and claim the lovely, wholly unsuitable Willow as his own.

She seeks a governess post…
Up from the country, Willow Harwood must quickly secure a governess position and save enough money to return to America. Only, her plans are foiled when she rushes to the rescue of a devastatingly handsome earl in the process of being robbed. Though he’s far above her station, she can’t fight the irrepressible attraction she feels toward him.

Neither is prepared for the upheaval to their lives when she reluctantly accepts his offer of employment…as his housekeeper. Nor can either predict the mayhem that follows when a lord who disdains society and a country miss with no experience plan a haut ton Christmastide gathering

Callie's Classic Christmas Crack

Readers ask for this recipe every year. Stock up on the ingredients. One batch won't be enough!

1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 sleve saltine crackers
12 ounces chocolate chips (mil chocolate or dark chocolate)

• Boil 1 cup of butter with 1 cup brown sugar, about 3-5 minutes until it pulls from the sides.

• Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray it with non-stick spray. Layer the sheet with 1 sleeve of saltines.

• Pour the butter/sugar mix on top and bake in a 375 oven for 7 minutes. Take it out and put 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips on top and return to oven (oven off) just to melt.

• Spread the melted chips with a knife. Cool, then put it in the fridge for 3 hours to set. Then crack it up with your hands.

Just So You Know

Let me tell you about Callie's Reading Corner.

I would love to have you join my Readers Facebook Group. There we share jokes, memes, funny stories and comments on life. I run contests and post deleted scenes from books and extended epilogues for some of my books. You will also see family trees for my various series (and the names of all the children born of these loving couples), as well as posts to help me name characters. You’ll be the first to see new covers and hear about sales and new releases. That is also where I build my ARC reader list. If you would like to join us for fun and games, click here .

Happy reading!
