NEW Spring 2023 Course Offering!
Campus security and student safety continues to be a top priority at UConn. The UConn Police Department has recently introduced LiveSafe, a mobile app which is designed to enhance student and employee safety through direct and discreet two-way communication between the user and the UConn Police Department.
MKTG 4895 will be designed to implement an integrated marketing communications (IMC) campaign in Spring 2023 to encourage and maximize the adoption of the LiveSafe app by UConn students on the Storrs campus.

Skills and Outcomes
- Design and evaluate advertising, promotion and related social media strategies for LiveSafe adoption by UConn students
- Demonstrate and discuss what aspects of advertising and promotion were more effective in increasing LiveSafe adoption
- Develop and test different communication vehicles and evaluate ad media, programs, budgets and schedules in the LiveSafe campaign
Credits and Prerequisites
- 3.00 credits
- Prerequisites: MKTG 3101. Preferred MKTG 3625 (IMC in the Digital Age) / MKTG 3260(Marketing Research), though motivated students with only MKTG 3101 will be considered.
- Grading Basis: Graded
