The Little Prince is passing online by AFCA!

As part of the preparations of AFCA's Summer Club 2020 which will start once life is back to normal, an online arts education program inspired by the book “The Little Prince” was launched last week on Sunday 26th of April and will last for four weeks. Three online activities in different arts genres will be posted weekly each Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 16:00 pm to engage with children who are staying at home. Many children joined our trip around the planets.

Hakawy Out of Cairo is officially announced!

We are proud that Goethe Institute in Cairo officially announced that "Hakawy out of Cairo" is one of the selected projects for support in the framework of the Open Call of the "Euro-Egyptian Cultural Program 2019-2020" (EECP). The program is funded by the European Union Delegation to Egypt in cooperation with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC). AFCA is preparing for a three-day national Hakawy Festival that will be touring around (Port-Saeed, Alexandria and El-Minya) with a number of special performances by professional Egyptian artists.

Performances for children at AFCA

Five Egyptian companies /artists will present their performances at AFCA once we are allowed to open the doors again.

Can't wait to welcome you to enjoy the following performances: Look Away, Lulu!, Telephone Cassé, Dil- Hekaya, The Bird, Noussa Adventures.

Spices Road

is an international theater project organized by Théâtre de L'Ordinaire in France in partnership with AFCA and many other partners from different parts of the world.

Isra Ghazali is an Egyptian artist associated with AFCA and was nominated to take part in the Spices Road project to represent Egypt and AFCA among 10 artists from 8 different countries. The performance takes up the issue of globalization.

Spices Road was created in France last September and was supposed to begin its first tour around Asia (Nepal, India, Hong-Kong, Macao, Taiwan) in March 2020, but it was postponed until the Coronavairus pandemic is over.

Alwan wa Awtar at AFCA

Hosted in AFCA, Alwan wa Awtar team organized a weekly workshop starting from last February. The course is aimed at enriching facilitators experience in Education through Arts theoretically and practically.
