Perth Homeless Support Group Inc

See the need and make a difference, without prejudice.

Imagine what it would be like to have no place to call home, no place to store your belongings, no shelter from the rain and no ability to prepare a hot meal. Winter is one of the hardest times for those experiencing homelessness and sadly numbers are on the rise with volunteers feeding and supporting over 200 people each Sunday morning.

We have some great stories to share this month from those that have seen the need and chosen to make a difference. We thank and celebrate them and ask for your continued generosity of funds, of time and support.

Each weekend a team of PHSG volunteers feed, cloth and support over 200 homeless persons in our city. With numbers growing every week, PHSG is in need of a larger van to transport all the equipment and supplies used each weekend.

So a number of volunteers will be spending a winters night sleeping rough on the street in the hope of raising $10,000. They will be shivering through the experience just like those on the streets with no access to the luxuries of home and ask that you contribute to the cause by donating funds.

Perth Homeless Support Group Inc is a not-for-profit, registered charity that is purely funded by donations. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be provided with a tax receipt via Paypal.

SJOG Subiaco - Scrubs & Anesthetic Nurses Charity Lunch

The theatre at SJOG Subiaco department holds a charity bake sale from time to time.

As winter is here, we know that vital supplies/food are needed for those experiencing homelessness. Clincal Nurse Maria Doyle (BSN RN) suggested to her colleagues to donate the sales of the next charity bake sale and donated to Perth Homeless Support Group.

It was super successful and as such it was a pleasure  for PHSG President Ron Reid and Treasurer Michael Edwards to go and thank them first hand. Their total donation to date is $509. Thank you to everyone involved.

Volunteer's of the Month

This month we celebrate two of our amazing volunteers, father and son duo John and Jono Pollard. We have lost count of the number of socks John comes in and rolls each week during our Busy Bee's and Jono has always gone above and beyond in supporting Perth Homeless Support Group.

Thank you John and Jono, your efforts are appreciated more that you may every know.
