Dear Coaches,
Session 1 of our Spring League program is underway. It's such a pleasure to see our students and coaches out riding together again!
We are gearing up now to launch the next session that starts on March 8th.
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR YOU IF YOU PLAN TO COACH
Registration
Coach registration is open. The code needed to register is rideoutside!
If you are currently coaching in Session 1 and plan to coach in Session 2, you will need to register for Session 2, however you will not be charged for the annual Coach License Fee again. You will receive a follow-up email with special instructions.
There is no longer the need to submit the Coach Interest Form.
Student registration opens on Monday, February 15th at 8pm. As a coach, if you have a child in the League, you may register them before all other students to ensure that they get a spot on the roster.
The number of student registration spots will be determined by the number of coaches registered for your team.
Team Calls
I am currently conducting team calls. These calls are a great way to connect again, go over COVID protocols, discuss coaching topics and answer any questions that you. If you are the head coach of your team, please let me know when your team is available for a call and I will send you a Zoom link.
King and Snohomish County Teams
The WSCL will be obtaining all necessary permits for your team. I will be working with you on scheduling to ensure that meet all requirements and keep our land managers happy :)
Frequently Asked Questions
Do we really need facial coverings when riding? What if we are in Phase 2?
Yes, facial coverings are required of all coaches and students at all times in both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Healthy Washington - Road Map to Recovery and per COVID-19 Requirements For School and Non-school Youth Team Sports.
If our team is located in a Phase 2 area, do we still have to stick with the group size of 6 (1 coach and 5 students)?
The group size limit of 6 individuals will remain in effect for all teams participating in Session 1. The Programs Committee is reviewing the current group size limit and will have an update soon for Session 2 teams located in Phase 2 areas.
