    Thought for the day

    Window and Mirror

I don't remember where I read this, but the story goes like this:

A depressed man went to meet a rabbi, in search for help. The rabbi took him by the hand and led him to the window.

    "What do you see?"

"I see people... Men, women and children."

The rabbi then took the man in front of a mirror.

    "What do you see now?"

    "I see myself."

"Exactly. You need to understand that both the window and the mirror are made of glass, but the glass in the mirror is covered with silver on one side. When you stop seeing other people and only look at yourself, the glass turns into a mirror and you cannot see far anymore."

    Dark Ages

Why were they called the Dark Ages?

Because there were lots of knights.

Do you have a funny story you would like to see published in this letter? An event, what someone said? If so, send me your funny story in an email

(I especially love the funny things children say!).

    Today's Happiness

    Thai Statue

This little statue was sitting against the window in the little Thai restaurant we frequent. The owner is a positive, lovely lady. These days when people are not allowed to eat in restaurants, we wait next to the counter while she is in the kitchen making our dinner for us to take home. These little details of her culture always bring me to a good mood.

What made you happy today? Send a note and tell, if you wish to share your little happy moment with others.
