Hello Friends!

Happy Friday! "Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out!

This week has been a wee bit quieter for me than the past couple. The highlight thus far has been an extension of my personal  "Raphael Saadiq Fest" where I went to see him one last time last Friday (I just simply couldn't help myself). I had the chance to talk to him yet again, get some more pictures  (don't judge me too hard 😂) and meet some other favorites like Tituss Burgess (from the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) and Adrienne Warren (who plays Tina Turner in the musical coming to NYC). In addition to that, I have been gearing up to attend a few conferences, putting some feelers out there for some new potential projects, and doing a little salsa dancing and Kizomba in between.

Be sure to check out my random pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week as well!

I hope that you have a great weekend, and upcoming week!

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Flumadiddle: (noun) Utter nonsense.

  • ADVICE:  "To avoid disappointment, take people for what they are, and not what they could be."

  • SOMETHING I WANT TO TRY: THIS definitely seems like a cool travel thing to do do with a great group of people in the future.

  • GOOD GIFT IDEA: In one of my random YouTube matrix moments, I saw a video of a BEAUTIFUL gift that a parent gave to another parent. I know that a few of you either have kids, grandkids, nieces/nephews, Godchildren, etc. - and thought you may like to keep THIS IDEA in your back pocket for the next time you need a gift.

  • RANDOM LIFE TIP: Get rid of nighttime coughing by putting Vicks VapoRub on your feet, and then putting on socks. Your cough SHOULD stop within minutes.

  • DIY LIFE:  I've been wanting to dabble into doing more things with sewing, and loved the idea of creating this TRAVEL SCARF. I'm looking forward to trying it out soon!

This week I am sharing a post that I found on one of my favorite Instagram accounts that I follow, Alex Elle. This spoke to me as it seems to pretty much encompass a lot of the day-to-day feelings that I find myself going through as I have entered into this new decade of life and continue to flow into this ever evolving discovery. This thing called "Life" is definitely a journey, and can be quite the emotional rollercoaster. Sometimes we may feel as though we are the only ones on the ride- but, then as you connect with others you realize that many are just "trying to figure it all out" and put the puzzle pieces of our individual stories together. I hope that this little graphic helps encourage and motivates you just as much as it did me.

Often times it can be so easy to beat ourselves up, or to be extra hard on ourselves for what we don't have/do. So, this week I am challenging you to honor yourself for an accomplishment that you have tackled- it can be little or big---just be sure you take a moment to show yourself a little love!

Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey! I will be sharing some upcoming events that I have been working on in the next couple of newsletters- so stay tuned for more info and invites!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
