What can you learn from 'The BIg Bang Theory' show?

Hello ,

How are you?

I hope you are well.

A few days back I finished watching 12 seasons of 'The Big Bang Theory'. It was just amazing.

So today I want to talk things that can be learned from this great show.

 The Idea

Usually, I don't watch movies or web series that much. I am definitely not a movie buff.

Rather I prefer to read books.

Even at times when Netflix and Amazon prime are getting more popular, I value most my kindle unlimited subscription.

But recently I finished watching the famous 'The Big Bang Theory' show after my girlfriend's recommendation.

Honestly. a year back I didn't hear about this show.

The sole reason I decided to watch this show is because I heard it is an entertaining science show.

And after finishing all 12 seasons of the show I can certainly say, It is a damn good show with real science and fun.

While watching I laughed like crazy and most importantly, I enjoyed the way science has been presented in the show.

The show revolves around the lives of a few young scientists, their friendships, their social and romantic struggles, their weirdness, etc.

Science has been presented very accurately most of the time in the show which is a rare thing in tv shows.

You will know real scientific facts about space, physics, human brain, psychology, and about many more things.

And what could be better when you see smartest people like Stephen Hawking, Neil degrasse Tyson, Elon Musk, Steve Wozniak, George Smoot, etc. in the same show.

Somehow we perceive science as something that can't be fun and entertaining.

Most of us grow up with a preconception that science is a damn complex and boring subject (because of our boring teachers).

Even today, do you correlate science and fun together?

Maybe you don't.

But this show makes people believe that science is real fun if taught and learned properly.

Talking about string theory, quantum brain, time illusion is not weird but actually cool.

You don't have to be an established scientist to talk about science, you can be anyone with a curious mind.

There are a lot of things I found wonderful in the  'The Big Bang Theory' show. Be it about friendship or about romantic relationships.

But the one thing this show has shown most successfully is that science is really cool and it's not a complex and boring subject.

I hope you will watch this show if you haven't seen it yet.

If you have seen it, what are your thoughts on this show?

Just the way you give your precious attention to movies or sports, keep an open mind and give some of your attention to science.

I am sure you will find it fascinating.

If not then your teachers must have done some blunders.

As Walter Lewin, a great physics teacher at MIT said-

"Teachers who make physics boring are criminals"

Book/article recommendation

How to by Randall Munroe

Science is not a discrete thing from your life. Knowingly or unknowingly all of us utilize science and scientific principles in daily life.

You can read this delightful book to utilize science even better in everyday life.

One quote

"When kids look up to great scientists the way they do to great musicians and actors, civilization will jump to the next level "

Do you always ponder over the fact that why you can not focus on a topic for a long time? It's the problem for most people. We all need to be focused to achieve success in anything but at the same time we are losing out attention span continuously.

What you can do to prevent this?

I wrote a detailed article some times back on this.
