Issue 50- February 28, 2020

Happy Friday Friends!

"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out! (Hard to believe this is my 50th one ...2 more to go, and I will have officially been at it for a year ūüėĪ!!!)

My time, as of late, has been primarily spent working on my new client project. However, I have been still making room to "get out" and explore and learn when and where I can. I was super grateful to have had the opportunity to get a little rest and relaxation in at an amazing retreat upstate in New York this past weekend, connect with some of my fellow MAIP Alumni at a summit on diversity and inclusion, and get a little art and fun in at the ZeroSpace headquarters.

I haven't posted/shared much (I hope to get caught up in that soon)... But, you can always feel free to check out my pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week---I try to post some of my randomness there.

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Have an AMAZING weekend and upcoming week!

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Mamihlapinatapai (noun): A situation in which all participants want something to be done, but none want to¬†do¬†it

  • ADVICE:¬†‚ÄúThere's value in your presence." - A quote I wrote down from a talk I heard this past week

  • MOOD MUSIC:¬†In tune with some of my favorites this week, the musical elements of Earth, Wind & Fire's "Head to the Sky"¬†

  • RANDOM RECOMMENDATION:¬†Have you ever taken a DISC Assessment test to learn your communication style? It is quite fascinating, and can show you how you appear to others- and, areas of improvement. CLICK HERE to learn more about yourself!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP:¬†¬†In need of some "fidget toys" to help you keep calm and relaxed? You may want to try something out from this list.¬†¬†

  • FEEL GOOD STORY: As we round out Black History Month, this is a great read of some fascinating inventions by African Americans.

A simple co-signing of this thought and flow from Nikki Banas is serving as my muse this week. Often times we can get so caught up in the "rat race" of life, and the quest to go and get/do more, that we forget to reflect on how far we have actually come. It is important to remember that there is still a lot of magic in those moments too. This is a facile reminder for you to remember to "celebrate" those mini milestones every now and again as well as the "big wins." They all contribute to the piquancy of your journey.

This week's challenge is to celebrate a mini win that you recently had.

Thank you to everyone that has filled out the survey! I will be sharing some upcoming events that I have been working on in the next couple of newsletters- so stay tuned for more info and invites!

For those who haven't filled out the survey, I can definitely still use your feedback. So, if you have not done so already, please take  5 minutes to fill out:

Thanks sooooooo much in advance for your time!

***Totally disregard this part of the newsletter if you have already done this.

Lastly, if you happen to have any future topic ideas, or come across any events I should know about, PLEASE feel free to send those along my way. I always LOVE discovering and learning about new things!

Have a great day, and be sure to take time to enjoy your life!

*"The Cre8tive Life" is the weekly "feel good" component of my consultancy, The Cre8tive Artisan, which is where I "make the magic happen" and curate engaging lifestyle events that help connect us humans in deeper ways. Feel free to CHECK OUT MY WEBSITE to see what I do, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you out! As always, if this newsletter is "not your thing", please feel free to unsubscribe (however, I really hope you don't).
