From the Desk of Vanessa Riley...
From @romancing_carolyn's Review of A Duke, The Lady, and A Baby

Hello all,

Our world is full of the “new normal.” We have new protocols for shopping, dining, and learning. In short, life can be stressful. That's why it is so important to find your vibe, your happy thing. You deserve to be happy and valued and free.   (Author Carolyn Hector makes great doll images of book covers. This is one she did for A Duke, The Lady, A Baby. Follow romancing_carolyn on Instagram. This makes me happy.)

Here are my top three tips to find your happy:

1. Build a stress free play list. Pick songs that make you feel relaxed and others that make you get up and dance.

2. Baking is your friend. I make brownies, dark chocolate yumminess, but I save time. I start with a box. I know sacrilege. I doctor it and make it my own, but these are pandemic rules. I'll go back to scratch when my brownies are not therapeutic.

3. Blast your affirmations. Come up with a list of things that make you happy, make you feel grateful, make you feel hopeful. Recite them. Recharge your soul.

Thank you to everyone who picked up a copy of A Duke, The Lady, and A Baby during Release Week. Your support means so much.

I enjoy seeing pictures of my books in the wild. Make sure you tag me when you post on social media. You can find all of my social media links at the end of this email.
