Dear Parents and Friends of the School,

Seeing the students back at school and ready for their learning has been wonderful. There has been a lovely connection with various friendship groups and it is nice to see the children displaying appropriate kindness and values for their age. The atmosphere in the classrooms and on the playground has been very positive. Thank you for your support in teaching values at home.

A reminder that on Thursday 20 February there is the school picnic from 5-7pm on the school field. It is BYO food and refreshments. There will be an opportunity to meet your child’s teacher. This replaces the parent-teacher conference we used to have from midday to 7.30pm. I look forward to seeing you there. The pool will be open and supervised by selected staff.

The children have all started their specialised music and PE classes. The feedback from the children and the teachers has been very positive.

This Friday, 14 February, after the assembly we will unveil the two pou which will sit at the entrance to the hall. Parents are welcome to attend this unveiling. I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our first assembly of the year, which is being presented by Room 18 (Yr 3).
