Testimonial and Reference Letter - Update 1

Dear HR Practitioners,

Please advise who should write the testimonial or reference letter for employees.

Should it be the HR Department or the immediate supervisor>

HR should prepare it based on feedback given HOD and any other critical incidents that HR has in the employee records.

It should be signed by the MD i.e. top/senior management to give weight to it.

I think HOD should not be the one preparing it as HODs sometimes can be biased or overly favourable. In any
