Dear GNN faithful,
Can you imagine 10 years ago that there were no Christmas celebrations, no Christmas trees or even any services to worship God for sending His Son Jesus into the world??
Well, this year there was a big parade in Nepalgunj, and in many other villages in West Nepal to do just that- celebrate CHRISTmas! Our GNN Bolero truck was decorated and our church people walked throughout Nepalgunj proclaiming the birth of a Savior. The picture below shows the home-made tree at the GNN Training Center. 22 men and 2 women are in the class that started in November 2024 and goes to April, 2025.
When I was in Nepal last month, I had the privilege of staying at the training Center with the class. I remember one student, a taller young man about 6 ft tall who stood out from the rest of the class. Please listen to his story. He is from the Darchula District of Nepal. As Philip recalls his testimony, “…it touched my heart. He and his family are alone Christians. His family were staying in a house which was not theirs because they have own house. After this family heard gospel and became Christian that house owner told them that if you want to stay in my house you have to leave Jesus religion. All the village people started to tell this. But this young man’s family said we cannot leave Jesus. Salvation only comes through Him! Then all village with the house owner told them you cannot stay in this village. So now his family are staying on the other side of a river which is the Nepal/India border.
Because this young mans father has a loan for more than 200000 rupees with interest (about $1500USD), he suggested that the boy go to earn money so the family could repay the debt. At that time one of our GNN pastors, Ramdatta Bhatta, told him that there was a training class going on at the GNN center, for church leadership and evangelism. Will you go? Then the young man faced two requests. After prayer, he decided to go to the Training Center.”
This young man, pictured below, is doing well in class He needs our prayers, along with prayer to God for his family. What could be God’s plan for his life.
Love in Jesus Christ,
Dave
