Do you remember what book initially piqued your interest in reading?
No, I started reading when I was very young.

What is the first book that made you cry?
I don't remember. Since I read mostly crime thrillers, these books don't generally make people cry. I used to read romance and other genres years ago, but not so much these days.

What is the first book that made you laugh out loud?
Probably one of David Rosenfelt's Andy Carpenter novels.

Do you listen to music when you read? If so, do you have a playlist?
No, I like the silence.

If you could go to any place you’ve read about in a book
(real or imagined), where would you go?
I'd love to go to Hogwarts. Harry Potter is the only fantasy series I ever read.

I'm reading Lone Wolf by LT Vargus.

What’s one behind-the-scenes fact about your latest book
that you think readers would love to know?
I'm currently writing book four of the Mirror Estate series. This one is tricky. I know where I'd like the story to go, but getting there is tough. I had to rewrite a lot to make the plot work well.

Without giving us any big spoilers,
what was your hardest scene for you to write?
I would say any fight scene is hard for me. I don't really know any martial arts or guns or anything, so I rely on the internet a lot.

Of all your books, who is your favorite character and why?
It's hard to pick just one. But I do like Olivia a lot. She's like a super spy.

What do you love about it so much?
I like all of them, but the first one, Buried Secrets,
is like your first child. The best, in my eyes.

If you weren't writing, what other creative pursuits,
if any, could you see yourself doing?
I was an accountant before. I'm not sure what other creative endeavors I'd be able to do. I can't draw or sing or act.
