I was the expert.
But there was a problem.
I frustrated people. They didn't understand my ideas. I would overwhelm them.

I forgot that people don't know what I know. I skipped the introduction, straight to the end. I left people confused,

I had to re-learn.
To become the coach, not the expert.
I did this by mastering three skills:
- Asking Questions
- Listening
- Observing
By coaching, I learned what others needed. I learned how to help.
The journey from expert to coach is hard. But it must be done to unlock the greatness in your team.
