The Future of the Panida Begins with You
It has been beyond heartwarming to discover how many of you have acted on your love for the Panida and contacted us, asking, “How can I help?” In this time of transition, you are so appreciated. Beyond your support and help, your creative suggestions are invaluable. We value those contributions from so many of you. Your notes of encouragement keep flooding our email and have been so reassuring in this challenging time.
This Saturday at 9:30AM many of us, board and volunteers, will have fun together in our “CleanUp the Panida” party, and you are all invited. The Board will provide snacks and pizza for lunch. You will have to BYOB!
This newsletter gives us the opportunity to share our dreams and expectations with you. We are entering a fantastic future which has already begun to unroll in our dreams, planning, and expectations. It is a future that will continue to build upon the involvement of our creative community and includes the Panida working in concert with great organizations too numerous to mention.
It is the talent and creativity of everyone that will help ensure that all the arts flourish. In this new era, art house theaters across the nation can no longer rely upon income from film distributors who stream movies concurrently with their release to theaters. We feel this actually creates an enormous opportunity for the Panida to fulfill its ultimate purpose—to be a central jewel that, on our stage, highlights the creative talent of this community. We expect this theater will draw talent from across the nation.
Coming up: We will be asking every one of you to go to the Panida website and fill out a feedback/suggestion questionnaire. Tell us what you have liked most, what you would like to see more of or see improved and give us whatever other creative “outside the box” ideas you dream up. We look forward to your contributions and receiving your feedback. Watch for the questionnaire to be posted soon.
While we prepare the questionnaire for publication, we are also focused on a much anticipated Strategic Planning Session that we will participate in this month on Zoom. If you have thoughts about a particular artistic issue or knowledge that might be helpful, please fill out our form as soon as it becomes available.
The theater is the heart of our community. It is community supported, community served, and a community centered jewel. We look forward to serving you and to acting on your dreams and desires for the Panida. Please follow our excitement, growth, and opportunities on our Facebook page and website at www.panida.org.
