ProClubs Meet the New Head of Invest Lithuania Elijus Čivilis |

The most recent monthly ProClub call featured General Manager of Lithuanian investment and talent attraction agency Invest Lithuania Elijus Čivilis, who shared his visionary outlook upon the global standing of Lithuania. Elijus suggested the professional diaspora should take up a guiding and coaching role of #TeamLithuania coordinating actions to score points on the global scene. The guest pointed out, that at this point of development, talent is what Lithuania lacks most, mainly due to discouraging public policies, and imbalanced higher education. READ THE FULL ARTICLE HERE.

Diaspora Policy Draft Announced. Give feedback! |

Talking about the forthcoming diaspora policy, we will be heading into the referendum on dual citizenship. GLL media partner Pilietybė.lt talked about the constitutional subtleties of dual citizenship with the Former Chairman of the Constitutional Court, prof. dr. Dainius Žalimas. The guest discussed the upcoming referendum, opportunities and hurdles for dual citizenship, and legal safeguards necessary to ensure successful implementation of the law. MORE HERE.

GLL Invited to Contribute to Lithuania's Progress Strategy for 2050 |

|
GLL CEO Aušra Kukelkaitė will participate in the drafting process of Lithuania's Progress Strategy for 2050. The Strategy will seek to involve citizens, the academic community, and various non-governmental organizations in planning the future of Lithuania. The document is to be submitted to Parliament by the beginning of 2023. "I am looking forward to widely involving the GLL community into these discussions, bringing some broader perspectives and fresh approaches into this creative process," - said A.Kukelkaitė. Enterprise Lithuania is inviting to a Digital partnering event that will be attended by international pharmaceutical, medical technology, diagnostic and laboratory technology organizations. During the President's Gitanas Nausėda visit to Edinburgh, he met with the leaders of the Lithuanian communities in the UK, including the Lithuanian City of London Club. Addressing the president, the chairwoman of LCLC Gintarė Budriūnaitė raised two important topics: dual citizenship and the strengthening of human rights in Lithuania. "We believe that everyone, regardless of their gender, age, disability, race, or sexual orientation, deserves the same respect and equal rights. We work closely with Global Lithuanian Leaders and plan to continue to focus our efforts and knowledge on shaping the opinion of our nation and helping to strengthen human rights in Lithuania." - said the Chairwoman. Lithuanian Professionals in Switzerland Discuss the Business Journey of Philip Morris International
On October 7, the Lithuanian Professionals Club in Switzerland was holding an event featuring Edvinas Katilius and Mindaugas Trumpaitis - the Global Lithuanian Leaders, who made their outstanding careers in “Philip Morris International” (PMI). The guests discussed the ways a business can re-invent itself, leverage the current knowledge and assets to develop new business models as well as get ready for the sustainable transformation – from a producer of cigarettes towards an enabler of a better, smoke-free future.

Along with the business-as-usual activities through 2021, the LPS club is dedicating fall 2021 for a particular focus on the image of Lithuania, as well as a foreign perception of the country of Lithuania as such.
