Decision Making
Almost everything I do revolves around design, plus sizing and fit. I have created additional sizing charts to accommodate three body types:
- Standard Hourglass.
- Triangle (wider at the Bottom/Hip).
- Inverted Triangle. Wider at the Bust/Chest.
- Hybrid (Custom!). This may pull from more than one chart. These are addressed in Any Size. Any Gauge. Pattern Calculators.
More for Everyone
Each pattern and design I create is based on design decisions that are unique to that design. Every calculation is based on that particular piece, so the calculators are universal for size, but specific to the design.
Even More for Everyone
I am thinking about bodies from the skeleton outward with all our individual shaping and padding. In order for this all to work properly, I am not making "generic" patterns. For each design I think of every detail, and the bodies that might wear it, and make specific design choices. So the project you knit will essentially be the same as the sample:
- curve of your armhole,
- the stitch patterns positioning relative to the body,
- design details.
You are guided through the process of creating a replica of what I designed, but you also get to make your choices!
