Welcome to the SD Scotland Members' Newsletter.

SD Scotland Members Newsletter

Dear member,

We're pleased to inform you following our update in December that our incorporation as a Community Benefit Society is now complete and we are now fully operational as the new entity.

Membership

We're now inviting prospective members the opportunity to sign up to your new membership scheme via GoCardless. As stated in the previous newsletter we're streamlining the membership process, reducing the fee to just £50 a year which would be debited automatically on the 1st of July 2018. This would be a recurring annual payment (unless requested otherwise). To sign up to membership, please follow the link here. Please note, payment won't be taken until the 1st of July. Please contact Andrew for further questions about the new membership process.

Staffing

We’d also like to draw your attention to some changes in staffing at SD Scotland.

We’re delighted to announce that we are strengthening and expanding our team, joining us from the 26th of March will be Beverley Mayer who some of you may know from her role as Supporter Liaison Officer at St Johnstone. Beverley will the point of call for members and will take on the development of the Scottish Supporters Network and Supporter Liaison Officer development programme. You will be able to contact her at beverley@supporters-direct.scot from the stated date. Beverley will continue in her voluntary SLO role at St Johnstone. Focusing on the growing activity around our consultancy unit, Club Development Scotland, Andrew will lead this activity with a view to expanding activity and reaching more clubs with our specialist services.

As a consequence of the above we have a vacancy for a strategic and commercial lead and we are pleased to be welcoming applicants for the part time position of Chief Executive of SD Scotland. Please note the role is a one day a week position and ideally suited to someone with flexible work patterns. You can find more information on the position here.

Behind the Goals - Podcast

Each week we bring you a new episode looking at a different aspect of our national game.

Since the last SD Scotland members newsletter, we've had Graeme and Keith Easton (the matchday announcement team at Hampden Park), Niamh O'Mahony of Cork City (and our friends at SD Europe), Laura Fawkes of Club 1872 and investigative report Andrew Jennings all on the podcast.

Check out all our previous episodes and subscribe to the podcast using your favoured ‘podcatcher’ here.

From the Membership

Within your new membership newsletter, we'll be aiming to support best practice sharing from across you, our membership. If you have any activities, news or events you'd like to promote, please don't hesitate to contact us at andrew@supporters-direct.scot.
