For me, Black History month is a reminder that there are so many contributions and triumphs of African Americans that remain unknown.
February shines a bright light on this treasure trove of history encouraging appreciation of the sacrifice and triumph over adversity that created the pathway forward. It is my hope these facts will be permanently woven into the fabric of our society.
I am positive that the sharing of achievements in science, literature, art, music, and business by African Americans can create a broader understanding that the contributions of all are worthy of acknowledgment. By appreciating our collective history, we can âreset the table to one of welcomed inclusionâ.
