Thank Him For His Help

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand"

Isaiah 41:10(NKJV)

With the assurance of God’s word that He will be our help in this season, we have every reason to give God overflowing thanksgiving this month.

We can therefore take a moment to consider what unique and creative ways can we show God our deep gratitude?

Perhaps we can have special praise sessions at home with our families during which we just thank God and make no request. Psalm 100:4 says “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise”

Or maybe we can go out to feed the homeless and help the needy during this festive period. Proverbs 19:17 says “If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD”.

Another way may to be commit to 3 days of prayer for soul-winning and actually go out and engage in evangelism. Luke 15:7 says “I tell you that there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous ones who do not need to repent.”

Yet another way could be to bless the body of Christ (could be your local parish) with donations/gifts in areas of need. This could be in the form of needs of members of the church or areas of organisational need in the running the daily operations of the church.

There are many more ways to give God thanksgiving in a manner that could really grab His attention like King Solomon did with a thousand burnt offerings. The key things to note are:

Stop and think about how you actually want to thank Him this month
Be deliberate and follow through on what you decide to do
Have the right heart of gratitude in all you do.

Have a blessed month of thanking God for His help throughout 2020.
