Hello
This is our first newsletter of 2018 and what a great start to the year! We are already one vegan fair down in the Calder Valley and it was such a huge success, with stalls from local organisations (including the 3 Valley Vegans!) food stalls and a performance from the wonderful herbivores Mobius Loop. The fair gave people the opportunity to try out some delicious vegan food, find out more about plant-based living and meet like-minded people!
Not only that, but Veganuary is taking the UK by storm and it seems like veganism is finally going mainstream. There is so much exciting vegan news coming out at the moment, from Tesco launching a fantastic new vegan range; one-in-ten people now want to go vegan, according to a new poll; and major brands are responding to the rise in demand for vegan food by creating more plant-based options, which will make it easier for people to make the switch. Cornetto and Goodfella's pizzas are just a couple of examples of this exciting new trend.
Are you or someone you know doing Veganuary? If you need some support, feel free to get in touch or join our online community where people can ask questions, get great recipe ideas and keep up-to-date on what's going on locally.
When it comes to adjusting to a vegan lifestyle, one of the most tricky things to master is the art of egg replacement. Lucky for you, the 3 Valley Vegans are holding another free cookery demo to show you how to do it on 3rd February. See below for more details.
We hope you are all keeping warm in the snow! We highly recommend vegan-friendly Green & Blacks hot chocolate for those cold winter nights ;)
