NZ ANTIQUE & CLASSIC BOAT SHOW 5/6 March 2022
Once again - we are thrilled to give you the opportunity to indulge in a long weekend of glorious hydromatic relaxation at St Arnaud in the Nelson Lakes National Park, with this year’s NZ Antique and Classic Boat Show.
This year’s show is set for the weekend of March 5&6, and many boaties have indicated they’re going to turn up a bit early and maybe stay a bit longer. It’s a great idea, and a growing trend!
Maybe you might consider making an extended holiday out of it and add in a bit of mountain-biking, some exploration of the Nelson Lakes National Park or a few visits to our famous ‘top of the south’ vineyards and art galleries.
But for the enthusiast, there’s no need to wander further afield than the shore of Lake Rotoiti where the Classic Boat Show takes place.
There will be the usual range of boats…from clinkers and veteran wooden yachts. old race boats, to jet boats and fibreglassics from the 60s and 70s.
From early morning on both days of the weekend you can wander around the boats on land, chat with other owners, view displays with stories of restoration and rebuild and then take part in the activities on the lake in the afternoon.
The NZ Antique and Classic Boat Show is now in its 23rd year and continues to grow in the number and quality of craft presented. Judging will take place on Saturday, ahead of an evening awards ceremony to be held once again at the Alpine Lodge.
We look forward to your entry – see you there - and don’t forget your “My Vaccine Pass” - essential for all participants and spectators at this year's show!

ps. if you are going to be piloting a boat 18’ or over, we would like you to please bring a handheld UHF radio with you if possible, to trial this as an additional form of communication with the large boats this year.
