A while back I was asked to review a comic book by someone who -obviously- read one of my earlier reviews. So here goes:

Zevon-7 is drawn in a quirky, cartoony style which suited the story fairly well. The basic premise is if we took 'Back to the Future' and combined Marty with Doc. We have three versions of our main character/adventure boy/professor Kevin Zevon.

In a lecture on quantum physics and alternative dimensions Dr. Zevon is scoffed at by his scientist peers, only to be attacked by some nasty robot drones from a future/alternative dimension.

They almost get him; draining his brain when a younger Kevin Zevon -the adventure boy this time- zaps in from another dimension/thingie to save him. There's a bit of expository stuff as the professor needs to get his brain working again by kid Zevon. He does so, and they plan a course of action to save the universe!

This team did a real cool job of formatting the robot's voices in these rather complicated word balloons. Kevin Zevon (Zevon-7) also has a talking wrist band that has its own word balloon style.

Narration boxes also get a cool Z-7 style of icon, which ties the comic together nicely.

The style is breezy and easy, with attractive colors and fairly solid composition. The pacing is well done; I felt the story moved along at a good clip without feeling like I was being rushed.

As with a lot of these types of stories, they dwell on the 'fate of the universe' trope but you and I know fully well we're only going to see the action from two groups mainly: the good guys and the bad guys. Worldwide (or cosmic-wide) consequences are pre-ordained in these kinds of tales as a dramatic backdrop. (I always wondered why a villain needs to take over the world? Why not a good portion of New Jersey?)

There's 4 of these stories available on its online shop: The Comic Flea Market! Physical copies, not just digital... you can get them here:
