Happy Friday Friends!

"Welcome back to "The Cre8tive Life!"- your weekly newsletter full of lifestyle tips, smiles, and cool things to check out.

Whew...what a whirlwind these past couple of weeks have been, right? We are truly living in some "interesting" times to say the very least...I, like probably most of you, have been in the act of social distancing, working from home, and quarantining at home this past week. But, the week before¬†(and why I missed last week), I was on a mini self care retreat trip in Puerto Rico that I had booked the end of last year. Gratefully, I was blessed with safe traveling mercies going and coming, before all of this madness truly hitūüôŹūüŹĺ.

Although..., I did encounter a bit of craziness when some people I went on an excursion with got stuck in a cave for over 10 hours (I'm talking rescue squads, news crew, torrential downpours, being in the middle of nowhere with no signal, etc.) while I waited in the car for them to come back after they were only supposed to be gone for 2 hours. (*The only reason I wasn't physically stuck with them in the cave was because I don't really like hiking, and opted to stay in the car while they went on their adventure). I am tremendously grateful for all of the prayers that were answered that day...(If you're interested in hearing more about that (and can speak/translate Spanish), you can watch THIS).

Anyway, that's enough about me...I hope that things in this week's newsletter will provide you with a little bit of levity and help in this turbulent time that we are going through. And, I continue to send prayers for healing and speedy recovery for the world.

I still have not really been posting a lot on the social channels (aside from a few IG stories here and there)... But, you can always feel free to check out my pictures, video highlights, stories, and other life musings on my personal instagram page (@e101) and official brand page (@thecre8tiveartisan) throughout the week---I try to post some of my randomness there.

*And, if you have missed any previous newsletters, feel free to check out the archive section on my website: HERE.

Stay safe and healthy out there, Everyone!

MY WEEKLY PICKS:

My weekly (random) compilation of some of my favorite "cre8tive" things that I want to share:

  • FAVORITE WORD: Shoshin (noun): The practice of seeing life with wonder.

  • ADVICE:¬†‚ÄúDon't block your blessings because of what you experienced in the past. Learn to understand situations from what is happening in the now. If you are judging everything by what went wrong, you won't see what is going right" - Anonymous @commandinglife

  • MOOD MUSIC:¬†Instead of imposing one song on you this week, I am sharing a this listing of virtual concerts that musicians across the world are doing to help ease the isolation that people may be feeling during this time. There should be something for everybody's musical taste here- as it is constantly updated!

  • QUARANTINING RECOMMENDATION:¬†If you are a lover of art and culture, and are fiending for a museum escape, the¬†Google Arts & Culture has got you covered with a plethora of virtual tours and exhibits. I am particularly really loving the interactive Frida Kahlo project!¬†¬†

  • COOKERY MAGIC:¬†If you always felt like you never had enough time to experiment with cooking...there is officially now a silver lining in all of this for you. Especially, with a lot of the free virtual cooking classes that are taking place. Here's a great series of classes you can take from the Milk Street Cooking School!

  • LIFESTYLE TIP:¬†¬†In need of some quick and easy disinfectant wipes? Try some of these DIY tutorials.

  • FEEL GOOD SHARE: Sharing a collective of hopeful "feel goodness" in this app that one of the podcasts I listen to raved about. Insight Timer is a host of 30,000 guided meditation and music tracks that you can lean into to glean a little peace and relaxation.

MUSINGS ON LIFE:

No big writing musing here today...as I feel like I have probably written too much for you all to read already ūüė¨. So, I am sharing a graphic I came across of things you can do that will hopefully "spark joy" during a home quarantine. Let me know if you fall in love with any of them!
