Staff Engagement
After a year of a themed, quarterly kudos wall where staff posted thanks or a thumbs up to each other, it was time for something new. We took to Officevibe, our anonymous pulse survey software, to ask for suggestions on where to go next. Some enjoyed the kudos wall and didn't want to see it go. Luckily, Officevibe had just begun a program called Good Vibes, where staff can send kudos cards to each other (so very similar), but they are prompted by the software with questions like "Who can you count on in a pinch?" or "Who is this week's MVP?" so it makes the vibes flow easily.
In addition, we've resurrected a staff engagement team to coordinate some of the suggestions that were submitted from the survey. Library Associate Carnita Dominguez, Administrative Support Assistant Christopher Knipes, and Library Aide Chris Tanis are planning fun events through the end of the year, with the first one to take place next week.
