Holiday Mission Opportunities
The holiday season presents many opportunities for us to demonstrate God's love. The CBC Missions team has identified four worthy causes you might consider supporting this season.
Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child: October 31 to November 14.
Through Operation Christmas Child Samaritan’s Purse is sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with millions of boys and girls in more than 100 countries each year. Shoeboxes will be available in the Bastrop campus Fellowship Hall and in the foyers of both campus auditoriums beginning October 31. They must be returned by November 14.
Feed The Need Gobble Kits: October 10 to November 14.
This fall, make a difference for a family in need in our community by donating a Thanksgiving meal kit, complete with a turkey and all the trimmings. Pick up a Gobble Kit bag and instructions, fill your bag using the provided shopping list, and return your items to the church by November 14. More details and giving options are available on the Feed The Need website.
Pink Robin Hoods Blanket Drive: November 21 to December 8. Women@Calvary is partnering with a small, local compassion ministry called Pink Robin Hoods who delivers blankets to hospitalized children and adults on Christmas Day. If you are able, please consider donating a blanket or throw. Feel free to also write a letter or card to accompany your blanket. Let's spread the love of Christ and let another family know that they are being thought of and prayed for!
Lottie Moon Christmas Offering: November 28 to January 2. An annual offering is collected by Southern Baptists to support international missions. 100% of your gift goes directly to missionaries on the field. Visit the IMB website for more information.
