Washtenaw County is creating a collaborative vision for carbon neutrality county-wide by 2035.
Many community partners are collaborating with Washtenaw County in order to create a Climate Action Plan for the county. Each are working with their communities to create a collaborative vision for carbon neutrality by 2035 with a strong focus on equity and public health. This plan, called Resilient Washtenaw, will be a living document that guides community goals and county operations for years to come. Your voices are essential to creating an equitable response to the “Climate Emergency” declared by the Board of Commissioners.
The input of residents, local leaders, and partner organizations is critical to making sure that this plan reflects the priorities of our county and addresses climate change in ways that make sense for all of our communities.
Residents interested in learning more should visit the Resilient Washtenaw site and subscribe for updates. Questions or Comments not answered through the website can be sent to climate@washtenaw.org
