School Enrollment Increase

School has started in our eight conference schools, and we’re excited about the growth we’re experiencing! In fact, thus far this school year (2025-2026), our schools are collectively reporting a 16% student enrollment increase over last year! Specifically, we have 281 students enrolled at present as compared to 235 at this time last year, constituting a conference-wide 46 student increase! For this, we praise the Lord! We’re praying, hoping, and still working that we eclipse 300 students for this school year. Please join us in this prayer.

100% Percent Increase

Given this enrollment increase, I would like to highlight two of our schools who have had major (100% or greater) student enrollment increases this school year: 1) Round Rock, TX – Applegate Adventist Christian Academy whose enrollment has gone from seven to 14 students; and 2) Little Rock, AR – Shiloh Excel Christian School whose enrollment has gone from 12 to 33 students! This is just amazing because just four years ago, our Little Rock School only had two students, but now they have 33! To God be the glory!

Enrollment Is Open

God is tremendously blessing our conference through tithe giving thus far this year. Below is the tithe report for our Southwestern Union Conference.

Nairobi, Kenya Camp Meeting

Very recently (August 17-25), I was blessed to share my preaching ministry in Nairobi, Kenya (Africa) for the Northern Bypass District Camp Meeting. What a powerful Camp Meeting experience it was as over 4,000 people were in attendance! Next year (early March), 2026, I have been asked by the West Central African Division and Hope Channel International to conduct a major public evangelistic campaign in Lagos, Nigeria (Africa). Please note that we are also in conversations about the feasibility of complimenting this evangelistic campaign with a mission trip opportunity for members of the Southwest Region Conference. While these are preliminary discussions, please be prayerful about this potential mission opportunity should you be interested in participating in this evangelistic meeting/mission trip.

Lone Star Camp Development

Development at our campground, Lone Star Camp, is still taking place.  Through your prayers and sacrificial giving to our “Moving Southwest ‘4’ Ward” initiative, we currently have two new hotel lodges under construction at Lone Star Camp!  Construction on both lodges is scheduled to be completed before year’s end (2025).  This is extremely important as we will host the annual convention of the Association of Adventist Camp Professionals (AACP) in December, 2025 and the Regional Conference Caucus Meetings in January, 2026 at Lone Star Camp.  This is a great honor for our conference as we will be the first Regional Conference to host both at one’s campground!  Most importantly, the construction of these two lodges will provide increased housing at Lone Star Camp affording more of our members to be housed on the campgrounds for Camp Meetings and other events.

God is moving and blessing the Southwest Region Conference as under His hand we seek to intentionally, impactfully, and relevantly “Move Southwest ‘4’ Ward!”  The ultimate goal is to see men, women, boys, and girls come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ!
