Hi ,
I hope you are well!
Making plans for Halloween? Hull city centre will be welcoming the weird, wacky and wonderful world of Steampunk this October. The Hulloween Steampunk Festival is expected to attract thousands of visitors to the city, in addition to the global Steampunk community and the Hull public is encouraged to play a full part in the proceedings.
In more somber news, the family of the late Malcolm Scott have asked mourners to support a charity which helps couples living with dementia. Malcolm became aware of the charity as he moved away from the world of commercial property and developed new interests with the Fruit Trade Music recording studio and then the Kardomah 94 arts and culture hub.
More information on both stories can be found below, alongside more local news.
This week our Adopted Hullensian Liam has set his sights on Hull's neighbouring town of Hessle. He's created a fantastic guide on the best places to eat, drink, shop, and socialise to help you make the most of the area.
Also this week, our local foodie Ben is highlighting some of the best places in the area to get fried chicken - the perfect comfort takeaway. Hull is packed with many eateries offering their take on the humble fried chicken, check them out.
In need of a laugh? We've rounded up what's on at Hull's dedicated stand-up emporium, Comedy Lounge, for the rest of the year. With #Hullarious stand-up downstairs and fantastic entertainment upstairs, Comedy Lounge & Stage Door are looking to keep you laughing and entertained for the remainder of 2022. Check out what's on below.
And as always we have a round up of this week's unmissable events.
Have a great week!
