Adelaide Fringe’s Professional Development Session for July is all about the world’s biggest arts festival - Edinburgh Fringe. For many, it’s a lifelong dream to present and perform on the world stage that is Edinburgh. In 2022 there were 3,646 shows from 63 countries that made the pilgrimage to perform.
So with that in mind what should you consider when taking work over there? In this session, we hear from an artist, a producer and a delegate who have taken part and get insights and considerations that will help you prepare and plan.
Speakers in this session were:
Bronywn Batten, an award-winning Australian theatre artist with over 10 years of experience writing, producing and performing her work nationally and internationally. She has presented work in Edinburgh three times.
Deb Wilks, Director of Cluster Arts and a driving force in the Australian circus. She produced 10 shows with 57 performers in Edinburgh in 2022.
Richard Jordan, London-based Olivier and TONY Award-winning producer and writer for The Stage online who has been going to Edinburgh since 1987.
