Hi everyone,
October is here, the leaves are turning red, and while most of us are busy planning for Halloween and half-term, let’s not forget about one of Hull’s biggest events – Hull Fair is back this week! With the opening ceremony on Friday, one of Europe’s largest travelling fairs returns for its 731st year. Have a read of our all-you-need-to-know guide below and start planning a fun family day out.
Next up, we visited a lovely family-run pumpkin patch in Beverley, complete with dog-friendly evenings and even SEND sessions. Entry is free, and after picking your pumpkins you can follow the spooky trail for a chance to win a glamping weekend, snap some autumnal photos, and take part in free pumpkin carving and craft sessions during half-term. Watch our video below and head over while you can!
And last but not least, we stopped by an independent Mexican gem serving hand-pressed tacos, mouthwatering birria and much more. The food is incredible, the vibe is spot on, and it’s well worth a visit. Check out the video below and keep it in mind for your next special night out.
And as always, there’s loads more going on across Hull & East Yorkshire. To name a few events: a free DJ event returns to a popular Humber Street music venue with an afternoon of the best Motown, soul & northern classics. You can also enjoy a scarily good time at Trinity Market this Halloween with free family fun for all ages; and – something to look out for if you want to catch them next year – the Blue boys are back in town!
Check out our full monthly events roundup and listings for even more ideas.
We’d love your feedback. Scroll down to the form and let us know what you’ve been enjoying or any suggestions you think would make this newsletter even better.
And as always, thanks for supporting Hull What’s On. Passing this on to friends or family helps us more than you know, and we really appreciate it.
