Menstruation remains a taboo topic in many Western cultures, limiting conversations about the environmental impact of period products. With 1.8 billion people menstruating globally, disposable pads and tampons largely made from plastic are major contributors to waste, taking hundreds of years to decompose. As the push for sustainability grows, could switching to reusable products like menstrual cups and pads be the solution to reducing both waste and long-term costs while also benefiting our health and the planet?
