"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:34-35 KJV

Last week we celebrated Christmas and the miraculous birth of Jesus! But have you ever wondered, what was Jesus like as a child? Let’s search the scriptures to get a glimpse of his divine childhood journey!
Matthew 2:19-23 and Luke 2:39 teach us that Jesus did not grow up in the area of Bethlehem or Jerusalem. Instead, Jesus’ childhood home was in Nazareth, a city of Galilee.
Luke 2:40 gives a summary describing Jesus’ development from infancy to age 12: “And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.”
The Bible tells us Jesus had several younger half-siblings, children of Joseph and Mary.
Matthew 13:55-56 names four brothers—James, Joses, Simon and Judas. There were also at least two sisters. Thus, Jesus was the oldest of at least seven children.
In addition to telling us of Jesus’ numerous siblings, the Bible also shows that Jesus was reared in a devoutly religious home. His family faithfully followed God’s instructions concerning the annual religious festivals.
Luke 2:41-42 records that Jesus’ family made annual pilgrimages to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover and Days of Unleavened Bread.
It was during a trip home from one Passover festival that Jesus separated from his family. And on the third day after the festival Joseph and Mary found Him in the temple area. He was not playing with other boys, lost or even scared to be on His own. Luke 2:46 says, He was instead involved in serious discussions with some of the teachers of the law in Jerusalem, “both listening to them and asking them questions”.
John 3:34 shows us, that Jesus had His Father’s Spirit without measure. He had a strong grasp of His own purpose for being on the earth. He had the zeal to please His Heavenly Father and to do the work of God even at this time in His young life as a child. Our main glimpse into the childhood of Jesus Christ comes from Luke 2:49 and reads…”And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?”
To God Be The Glory for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John 21:25 reminds us that there were so many remarkable incidents in the life of Christ, that if they were all written down, the number of volumes would be beyond measure. What He accomplished in the 3½ years of His ministry is astounding. And the incredible impact He continues to have on the world today is simply innumerable!

FLU
Flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and sometimes the lungs. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death.
Flu shots are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding a flu vaccination.
RSV
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common, contagious virus that usually causes mild symptoms. In older adults and adults with certain underlying conditions, RSV can cause severe infections.
RSV shots are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding a RSV vaccination.
COVID-19
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Most people infected with the virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. However, some will become seriously ill and require medical attention. Older people and those with underlying medical conditions like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer are more likely to develop serious illness. Anyone can get sick with COVID-19 and become seriously ill or die at any age.
The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the disease and how the virus spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by staying at least 1 metre apart from others, wearing a properly fitted mask, and washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently. Get vaccinated when it’s your turn and follow local guidance.
The virus can spread from an infected person’s mouth or nose in small liquid particles when they cough, sneeze, speak, sing or breathe. These particles range from larger respiratory droplets to smaller aerosols. It is important to practice respiratory etiquette, for example by coughing into a flexed elbow, and to stay home and self-isolate until you recover if you feel unwell.
Both COVID vaccines and Booster COVID vaccines are available at local pharmacies. Consult your physician regarding COVID vaccinations.
