Book News from Callie Hutton

Hi there, Romance Lovers-

We’ve just celebrated Valentine’s Day, and everything that is love and romance. For singles, February 14th can be a tough day, but don't worry. The calendar includes a special day for you. My daughter calls it SAD, but the official holiday is Singles Appreciation day.

We are in the midst of a blizzard as I write this, with temperatures for the next few days not rising above 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Not typical weather for southern Tornado Alley. The scramble to buy snow shovels, winter gear, and salt to melt ice has been difficult. But we’ll do the best we can and get through this like we did all the other surprises that have been thrown at us for the past year or so.

The Twinadoes are happy, of course, since they get to play in the snow. Here is a picture of our last snow event.

Exciting News to Share

I have some cool things for you this month. First, my book The Lady’s Disgrace is on sale for only 99¢. Get it while you can!

99¢ Regency Romance Sale

A lady is nothing without her reputation. Jilted and humiliated by her once-betrothed, Lady Abigail Lacey is the laughingstock of London. Worse still, the humiliation is now reflecting badly on her family. Her brother, the Duke of Manchester, is desperate... until he finds a way to rescue his sister's damaged reputation, and remove her from the glare of disapproving society. He must marry her off. Quickly.

When Rector Joseph Fox drops by the Lacey household, he certainly didn't expect to leave as a man engaged to a long-time family friend! Yet while he never could have aspired to have her, Lady Abigail always ignited a forbidden longing in him. But Abigail has one condition - their marriage is to be void of passion or physical pleasures, once she becomes with child.

Faced with a platonic marriage of convenience, Joseph is determined to embark on a sensuous adventure with only one goal: to seduce his new wife...

Chapter Two Sneak Peek

Currently there is an overall 4.3 star rating on Goodreads for the book which makes me quite happy. I love when my readers like my books. Today, you can read Chapter Two. Scroll down for the link.

Available for Preorder

Driscoll Rose and his two brothers own and run The Rose Room, a well-known and profitable gaming club in London. Unknown to those who visit and spend their money there, the brothers also work for the Crown in a position that is only known to a mysterious man at the Home Office.

Miss Amelia Pence is on the run from her step-brother who has nefarious plans for her. Late one rainy night she crawls into Driscoll’s office window and falls at his feet. Intrigued by the woman, he offers her a job as the only female dealer in the Rose Room.

Amelia is secretive about who she is, and where she lives since she can trust no one, much to Driscoll’s frustration. The growing attraction between them and his desire for her is causing him to dismiss the fact that crowds of gamblers swarm her table each evening, but the profits she turns in are not what they should be.

Sweetheart Cinnamon Rolls

Even though Valentine’s day is passed, this is a wonderful recipe to keep you warm and sweet during the rest of the cold months, and Amelia from A Lady’s Trust loves these.

1 can (13 oz) refrigerated flaky cinnamon rolls with icing

Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9-inch round cake pan with cooking spray.

Carefully unwind each roll into long strip of dough, leaving center coiled. Coil the unrolled end of each strip in toward center, making two equal coils. Pull middle of strip down to make a point, forming heart shape; pinch point. Place in pan, points toward center.

Bake 13 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before removing to cooling rack. Spread frosting over warm rolls.
