Dear Writer,
I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well!
Today marks one year from the last day of living a normal life as I knew it. I had just returned from a week long work trip to Washington, DC and met friends for dinner in a Halsted Street restaurant. It was the last day unmasked. Covid had engulfed the world. For a while it was all I could think about, worry about, had to adjust to, come to terms with. Covid derailed my writing.
One year into the pandemic, with an aggressive vaccination program having just started, there is a reason for hope. Winter too is releasing us from its grip. My creativity, like a crocus, is poking through the skin of the Earth seeking the Sun. I am ready to resume writing, teaching and sharing tips on memoir & travel writing.
How about you? How have you been?
Have you been writing? I know a few of you have kept at it and I congratulate you on your perseverance!
Don't be shy, drop me a line.
Best, iliana
