Just want the big news only instead? Let me know by replying to this email and I'll move you.
Last week I had a very interesting chat. Spoiler alert: there'll be a podcast episode about Newsletter 101 with the Tammi Labrecque at the end of this month!
She really got me thinking and inspired (the sign of an incredible guest, if you ask me), and I decided to mix things up a little. I made this newsletter so you and I could connect, and I haven't been prioritising that. (all this marketing is hard, y'all! I'm forever overthinking things.)
So, here's what's gonna happen:
My emails will be more personal (and MUCH more hilarious, in my admittedly biased opinion!) going forward. If you're currently on the Big News Only list but don't want to miss any of these, let me know!
I was torn about this for... a while, because, as I realised last year, I have a fear of being vulnerable with people. Getting more personal in these emails will involve at least some vulnerability from me, . But I've decided to be brave and put more of me into every email because, if you don't like me or the things I'll be sending you, you probably won't like my books either. And if you're not here for me or my books... what are you doing on this list? What else are you hoping to get? o.o
Here are some of the things you can look forward to:
my writing inspiration
mental health real talk (did you know I have misophonia? well, you do now!)
magick stuff such as shadow work and pretty tarot decks
cat pictures (and any other animals I meet along the way)
favourite video games
awesome fantasy books and podcasts you might like
my obsessions (which are, admittedly, all of the above, but there's other stuff too)
I bet there's already some stuff in there you didn't know about me, so we're off to a good start! You'll be getting these smol emails every Wednesday.
And in case you forgot/never knew what I look like - HI *waves*
I basically live in blankets, or would if I could. I'm perma-tired because I'm anaemic, so living in blankets means I could fall asleep any time - caffeine addiction permitting, anyway. I drink a lot of tea. From big mugs.
I've also recently had my hair dyed, because doing it myself every time is kinda annoying (and I'm lazy) and I'm happiest when my hair isn't it's natural dark-ish blonde. I think I'll go green again, though. I looked good in green.
If you like, tell me something about yourself, too, so we can get to know each other! Did you see anything in the list you enjoy, too? Got something else you love that you'd like to share? I'm all ears.
Until next time!
